The New Plan as of 7:30

They turned off the pitocin, in half an hour I get to be all disconnected (provided eveything still looks good wih the baby) and then I can get out of bed! Intermittent monitoring, and then a check at 10:00. If there's room they'll put a monitor on the baby's scalp and an internal monitor on me. And probably more pitocin at that point. Dr. Hall will check things out and we'll be able to see if there's anyway for me to get things going effectivly, if not it sounds like we're talking c-section. But nurse Jessica really thinks having a break from the pitocin will help.

Poor Mommy-to-be, my sister,
And her husband, a very nice mister,
Played game after game,
But Maeli never came.
They labored so long they got blisters!

(I'm getting slap happy, so I can only imagine how you must be feeling~hope the break works.)

Aunt Wendy's poetry isn't too bad, all things considered. We are having a BIG thunder, lightening, wind and rain blast. If it gets where you are, the thunder may get something going. It's just another old wives tale, but one can hope. Some old wives are really on the ball. They may lose the ball occasionally but we can make allowances for that. Love, Gramma

Yay!! Sheila and I have been "discussing" you and we think that if you just walk the halls like a mad woman, gravity will do its trick. :D Cuz if you think about it, laying in bed is what they tell women to do when they DON'T want them to have the baby. So walk, bounce, stand, squat, let little Maeli know that she is no longer welcome in there! Her eviction papers have been SERVED! We're keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. How ever she has to come to get here safely is what will be best. (((HUGS)))

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child that's born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny, blithe, good and gay.

I think that your child is going to be full of grace.....

Much as I want to, I can't stay awake any more, but hopefully you guys get her by morning. Here's on more bad limerick for the road:

There once was a girl named Maeli.
We waited on day after day-li
Our anxiousness couldn’t compare
To that of her Dad and Moth-air
Who labored on ever so gaily.

Dear Beth and Jeremy,
Grandma Gloria and Grandpa Bob are thinking of you. Hurry up and have that baby. If you don't get busy and have her today, June 4th, she won't have her own birhtday, she'll have to share with Nichole. So get going. Love, Grandma and Grandpa

Well it's 2:15 in the morning on June 5th and the wind has woken me up so much that I can't get back to sleep. So I thought I'd see how things are going but...no update. I hope that things are well with the three of you and that - like someone had mentioned about the old wives tale - that the storm helped Maeli come.

It's almost 5:30 a.m. and a mosquito woke me up buzzing around my head, so I thought I'll jump up and check the blog. No update. (sad face). I hope everything is okay. Maybe you all are just sleeping like normal people. Anxiously awaiting an update. Lots of love and prayers coming at you.....Mavis
