So we might not get to go home until tomorrow. Maeli has lost more than 10% of her body weight, so we're giving her some formula and trying to get things to start on their own. Dr. Hall isn't too worried about her, just wants to get things stable before he sends us home. She's got good color and is very fiesty--She must have a lot of Brame in her, she gets so anxious to eat that she works herself into a frenzy and can't calm down.

It will be nice once you are home and in your own surroundings, but enjoy having nurses around to do stuff for you, it's a whole lot different once you get home. Oh, wait. Nevermind, You'll have Nurse Terry ;)
C'mon Maeli, chunk up and show us what you're made of!!
Are they having you pump to get your Milk in sooner???
Here's my theory on boobs and why it takes milk so long to come in...On the executive creative committee, the men said, "hey, toys!" the women said, "hey, food source!" but before the women could complete the project properly, i.e., the milk starts when the baby comes out, not three days later, the guys came back into the room and shut the project down. Just a theory. Hang in there. If you were in Samoa, I would grind the roots of a particular kind of coconut, and you'd be shooting geysers within 30 minutes. Serious. There is something to be said for native medicine sometimes.
Beth & Jeremy,
She is so beautiful! I am so happy for you two.Congratulations! She is going to be one lucky girl to have parents like you. I can't wait to see her in person so let me know when you are coming. I like your Aunt Kathy's theory on boobs!!!!!! Take care. Love, Brenda
