It is 11:45 now. Beth has been having some pretty good contractions since 2:00 this morning so at around 8:00 we asked the nurse to give her some epinephrine (Super pain killer) so that she could sleep for a while. She has gotten a shot of that on the hour for the past three hours and has been sleeping between most of her contractions and even through some of them. I took the opportunity to take a nap during the last three hours. Gramma Terry has been reading and keeping watch. She even fell asleep a few times.
As of 10:00 she was dialated to a 6 and at that rate is probably more like a 7 or better now. We are looking forward to the time when she gets to push and we get to see our Maeli.

yeah! Progress! It hopefully will go pretty quickly now, the last half of labor usually does. Let us know when she gets checked to what she's at. Sometimes drugs help it along becuase the body can relax through the contractions and get the job done faster. Thanks for updating, we all really appreciate being in the know, especially since it has been a two day process! Can't you set up a video blog of her pushing or something? J/K!
Have a great afternoon, get some rest and get ready to push that 9 1/2 pound baby out!!!
Yay!! Like Sheila said, it shouldn't be long now! Those first 7 centimeters are the hardest. Best of luck! You should be holding her soon.
Sounds like it's getting close! You're going to have one great "guilt trip" story for those growing up years.
Way to go Beth and Jeremy! Those last few centimeters went really quick for us with our little guy. So hopefully anytime now! We'll keep checking the blog.
