Will we have to name her June-li?

For those of you haven’t heard…no baby. We had our appointment on Wednesday and from what the doctor said I haven’t really made any progress in the past two weeks. He stretched me to a 1, but Maeli isn’t engaged at all. He okayed me to be induced as early as Wednesday night, but there was no room at the hospital. The soonest they could schedule me is Saturday evening, and I could very well be bumped if there’s an emergency. I’m pretty frustrated, and we’re all getting anxious, but we’re finding ways to pass the time.
We're Playing games. Working on the house. Getting organized.
Trying to remember that we're having a healthy baby who has to get here soon whether she wants to or not. Storing up our energy. And in the mean time, getting bigger and bigger.

But we promise-we will tell people when we have the baby!

Officially declared "Out of room"

But again, no significant change. Maeli hasn’t dropped all the way, I’m as open as a “cheerio” and we’ve had no sure signs of anything. Dr. Hall is a little worried about my swelling/fluid retention and gave me a few things to look out for, but it’s not toxemia or anything scary yet. My blood pressure is still really good. If there’s no baby by our appointment next Wednesday he’ll take a look at where we’re at and we’ll schedule an induction. She’s just too cozy

My To Do List

1. Dr.'s Appointment--"No significant change" which means Jeremy got the green light to go fishing today after work.

2. Take a Nap (this was the hardest thing on my list today, but I did a really good job at it)

3. Have the carseat checked at the hospital--Jeremy installed the car seat on Sunday, but it didn't seem to be at quite the right angle. The hospital agreed so we need to add a "pool noodle" to the list.

4. Put my feet up (another tough one that I did all by myself)

5. Get the kitchen a little organized aka nest a little--I thought Brian would be proud of my shelf facing

6. Hang Maeli's curtain--I have to say that I did a pretty good job of making her curtain. The Fabric is green and pink stripe and I used pink ribbon as the tabs, its hard to tell in the picture, but its super cute

7. Blog a picture of the baby's room--check

8. Baby laundry--have you ever seen pink dryer lint?

The Stress Pays Off

Grades are in and Jeremy finished with one B and the rest are A's. I hope our kids get his brains, focus, and drive...that guy amazes me.

Update

I've been chastised for not posting the "news" or lack thereof. We had an appointment on Wednesday (Jeremy did very well for being in the room for the first time while I was checked) and I was more than 75% effaced and less than one cm dilated. Everything is progressing on track. I've had a few random contractions, but nothing to get too excited about. And She's dropping slowly, but still has a way to go. We have appointments every Wednesday morning, so I'll try to keep things more up to date. Other than that things are pretty good. I stopped massaging last week and it’s been so nice! I'm working a little more than part time at the hospital, mostly to keep me from going crazy, but every afternoon I get to give into myself and come home to nest or take a nap...its been very relaxing. My ankles have completely disappeared; I just have sausages that used to be my legs. But compared to most women, I think I've had it pretty easy so far. We're all pre-registered at the hospital so she can come anytime. And for any of you who plan on visiting, there are no restrictions on visiting hours or age of visitors here, so everyone is welcome once she's out and I get to take a shower.

Jeremy has one more final tomorrow. Unfortunately it’s going to be a rough one, and he's REALLY worried about it. To celebrate being done though we're going to go to Lewiston on Saturday to talk to the local fly fishing expert. Jeremy has decided he wants to take up fly-fishing this summer.

That's pretty much the update; we'll have some pictures to post after tomorrow. I don't want to bug Jeremy with my honey do list until after the final. Then we can kick this nesting stuff up a notch.
