Tagged
So Bailey tagged me to think of six things about me:
1. I eat french fries in groups of odd numbers arranged by length
2. I am VERY clumsy, which I get from my mother, and which baffles my husband. I can fall all the way to the ground and hit my face when there is nothing around to trip on.
3. I have what my family calls "Flintstone thumbs" They look more like toes, but no one seems to care as long as they are getting massaged.
4. I'm afraid to answer the door when I know its a Pizza delivery guy on the other side. I don't know why, always have been.
5. I don't like my food to touch other food on my plate. The only exception is I sometimes will mix my mashed potatoes with corn. And I smoosh my ice cream together which Jeremy thinks goes against my no touching rule.
6. I love to organize things, everything needs a place (and a label), but sometimes when everything is on the floor for a few days, thats okay too. My need for organization comes and goes.

Jeremy,I could not be more proud of how much you've been able to accomplish the past few years. I know that marriage brought your GPA down, and now, having a Maeli is an even bigger distraction. I know that you dream of doing something huge with your life and your education, finding a way to help people (with out having to deal with the majority of the people out there :0) And I know that you'll do many great things in this life, but I hope you know what a great thing you are in my life. You mean the world the me and to Maeli, we will always love you and we are so proud of all that you've done, and all that you are doing. I can't wait to see what other blessing await us, and where the future will take our family. You are the best everything.

Winter Activities
I finally got all of our Christmas treats baked and ready to go delivered. This years was a challenge, first, I threw a surprise graduation party for Jeremy. In order to get him to the location (our friends' house) I told him we would be "delivering goodies" so I ad to bake at least some to keep u appearances. However, when our family came for the real graduation, a lot of the baked good got eaten and I kind of had to start all over. Not that I mind, I would trade all the goodies for more family...but it is a lot of work. But thanks to Jeremy, half the treats are even already delivered. Since we leave in one week I better get the move on.
Winter has been in Pullman since we got back at Thanksgiving...it seems we were so busy that we missed the splendor of our "winter wonderland" and now, knowing that we'll be looking at this same ice for the next 4 months just makes me sad. Part of me hopes we get fresh new snow over Christmas break so we can enjoy it, the other part of me just yearns for Spring. If I wake up one of these days and things are pretty again, I'll take outside pictures, in the mean time, we just bundle up to head out there.
A mover and a Shaker
So we're not actually crawling yet, but if you turn your back for just a second Maeli is all over the place. Sitting up, she can scoot, but this last picture is as close to hands and knees as she gets right now. You can tell she knows she's supposed to do something, but she tends to get frustrated and cry until you sit her back up. Its pretty cute though. The other day she was sitting in the middle of my bed, and I went to the bathroom. When I got back she was hanging over the side talking to the toy that had fallen on the floor. I guess we can't just leave her on the bed anymore.

Catch Up
I've been yelled at a lot for my lack of blogging. I put it off because it seemed like we were just about to see all the family, and they are the ones that tend to do the yelling anyway.
For those of you who haven't heard, I totaled our car over Thanksgiving break. It was early on Saturday, I was on the way from the McLain's house to meet my Dad to pick up something we had forgotten in St. Helens the day before. I was going slow because it was frosty on the road, but I hit a patch of ice and did a 180 into a tree. I was the only one in the car, and other than a few bruises and a little airbag burn, I'm totally fine, but sore. We feel lucky that things weren't worse, but my Rav4 didn't survive. I'm pretty sad about that, my first car, but it'll be fun to test-drive cars with Jeremy.
Other than that, we've been pretty busy. I started a little project (below) and Jeremy and his Dad built me a new top:

Today she fell asleep in her swing and it looked like she passed out drunk or something. It was really cute.
I decided to make pie for the first time ever. Our friends had a pre-Thanksgiving dinner, and I volunteered.
they turned out okay, I need to work on my crust, but for the first time...not too bad.

The Scoop
I know its been a while since I posted, but we've had the flu at our house. Maeli got it first, and then Jeremy and I both got a little mini-flu. It was so sad to watch Maeli be sick and not be able to let her drink sprite and watch movies on the couch. She wanted to sleep so bad, but she didn't want to be alone, so she hung out with us and fell asleep on the couch a few times, it was so pathetic.
Happy Halloween
Our friends Heidi and Justin had a Halloween party and invited Maeli. Heidi claimed it was just so the kids could wear their costumes more than once, but she went all out with decorations, food, activities for the kids, and even a spider's egg piñata. The kids had so much fun, although it was obvious we should have dressed Maeli as a princess to blend in with the big girls. The purple Princess are all from one family--our friends the Mickelsens and Jeniel made all their costumes---go super mom! And Maeli's "special friend", Caden, was a spider...how fitting they were both bug-type creatures. We didn't let her eat candy, but she had a lot of fun eating her Halloween bag.
